I did ⌘+A for the Menu Bar Paper otherwise it's very hard to see the selection colour.

Apparently this is a problem with grey accent colors. Because it works with other accent colors:

It is strange because I don't set the menu bar view to do anything differently (for other colors of accent color, it looks the same in a normal window and in the menu bar). I will investigate further. Thanks!

To be honest, I don't love the name Spare. But do I like it. It resonated to me as in like, spare your notes app, spare as not the main one. About the meaning related to frugal, maybe you could say that it is frugal in resources and features (since it does not do much on purpose). But I am terrible at naming things and am open to name suggestions

I think I finally found a descriptive and fun name in English. The app is now called Paper Mess.

Sorry to current users, and thanks for the feedback. I hope this is the final name change.

Just downloaded this, as I often have use for this kind of thing too, it's great and simple, thank you!
Only thing I don't love is the look of the app icon in the dock but taste is very subjective 😂

That's pragmatic: distinctive, easy to search, and memorable.

Let us know when Spellcheck while typing is working and I'll give it another spin.

I change the icons of many of my apps. That's one small thing that Apple let us change… for now, at least.

Hey. I like the look of this, I organise my notes, but I'm always opening a quick textedit .txt file just to dump things until I know what to do with or until they are past their sell by date. Thanks for doing this, about to download now!

Well, now I've tried it. It's a keeper. I like the menu bar implementation, I might be more likely to use that than the note windows.
