Tote bags (2).

I keep them folded, under the seat of my car.

Have had them for years.

One is an olde IBM bag (from an AS400 work-shop), the other I can't remember right now.

We primarily use a tote bag. My favorite one is from HEB in San Antonio, a HUGE and very sturdy bag.

But, we also get paper and plastic when we either forget the tote or need them for other items.

Paper gets used as a recycling bin in our house, and gets replaced when it "wears out".

Plastic gets used for cleaning the kitty litter box and lining up trash bins around the house.

We use paper/tote bags.

Do we get to turn these points in for an XBox, Wii or anything like that? :p

Phh. No, if I had that kind of money, I'd have one of those things for myself.

Han Solo ~ Star Wars (1977)

Sorry, Samarium already got it as the first reply. Better luck next time. Besides, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you already got some awesome points from me. Not that you can't win more than once.

Tote bags, Back pack or the new EPI plastic bags
most of the stores around me use the EPI plastic bags
and yes they do degrade rather fast in the compost

Tote bags.

They are larger, easier to carry, and sturdier. I can sling them over my shoulders and be done with it all. Plus I get 5 cents off my total for each bag I bring in. They have paid for themselves by this point.

Those sound nice. Shame my family shops at Acme. Can you get them around Philly?
Anyone who has a Costco membership can get them for you. I highly recommend them; I've ended up giving them as gifts, because people who have seen them rave about them so often. They are so much larger and more convenient than the others I've seen around, and they fold nice and flat to keep in my trunk when not in use. :)

Here's what they look like, so you can see the size.

Hmm. Thanks for that; I'll try to look into that.

When I still lived in stationary home I got paper bags. I started this when I was a timber worker (where my screen name comes from)

Now I get plastic because they are generally smaller and easily hang off the adjustment knobs of the seats in my truck. One trip to the store when I'm home and I have trash bags for my whole trip for free. Though that free part will soon change when I'm in Seattle.

I tend to carry (or try to) all my groceries at once, so I don't have to go back to the car. The tote bags are great since they carry more items per bag and are easier to carry, especially multiple bags at once.
