not wanting pointless cute tricks is NOT the same as needing to go back to dumb phones.
I will not apologize for wanting clean, bloat free code where everything included serves a functional purpose. If folks want cute crap they can jailbreak for it and bloat up their own stuff at their own risk
Right, people enjoy titling their phones around all day long to see their wallpaper move a few millimeters
A waste of resources this gimmick feature is. Just admit it y'all!
Just because you don't want to use it doesn't mean others don't. There's an on/off switch so why are you bothered by having extra features?
I've got very little movement on mine and what little I do have is very choppy. I set my home screen with a panorama wallpaper and still get very little. It looks nothing like what I saw in the intro video at WWDC.

I've wondered about this for years with apple folks...what is with people? What's it to them if someone else wants more eye candy?
I conduct business at my place of business on my works computers and my office phone. My iPhone doesn't need to be sterile as well.
