Hi,

I have a windows 7 on my mac using parallel desktop.I configured it to work on 3 GB RAM. My Air has a total of 8 GB of Ram.What does it mean? what happens when I run both mountain lion and windows at the same time, does the ML gets 5 GB and the windows 3? what happens if I run only the ML.Does it get 8 GB or 5 GB?

Thank you

Hey there,

Parallels grabs the memory for the virtual machine only when it's running (or in stand by mode).

So only ML running = Full mem for ML,
Virtual Win7 running = 5GB for ML, 3 GB for Win.

Cheers!
