    Hi there,

If I installed Windows 10 on my mac using Parallel Desktop is there a chance my computer will run hot, get a virus, or be corrupted?

    Short answer: yes, yes, yes.

    Long answer
Yes, your computer could run hotter as now you're running OS X and within that Windows, the CPUs and GPU will work harder. It all depends on what tasks you are performing in Windows and OS X.

Malware, if you don't have antivirus software for your windows VM, then its quite possible that your windows VM will be infected. The malware will not propagate over to OSX.

Corruption is unlikely but possible with any sort of disk I/O, though the odds are rather long, so much so. I'd not worry about it.
