In short....its not working right, because its running on Microsoft display drivers.
Very sluggish, cannot even run without hanging up at 1920x1200
No word yet from Parallels...hoping to shed some more light in the situation

Did you install the Parallels Tools? I'm running two Windows 10 VM's at the moment, and both of them run fine. I have a 32gb machine, and allocate 8gb and 2 cores to each VM.

Not sure what you're saying... works for me with Windows 10, however I'm not putting much load on Windows. Have a maxed out 16" and use 4 cores and 16GB for Win10.

16" i9 32Gb running P15 Win 10 Pro very smoothly. 8Gb and 2 cores assigned. Boot up and all round performance is fast.

Only issue I've had was yesterday when Win 10 did a boot freeze. It may have got stuck in some form of suspension - was certainly odd. Fixed it by properly shutting it down and manually assigning 512Mb to graphics memory (as opposed to auto). Unsure of the logic but it was kind of a recommendation and it worked.

Even the mouse pointer has a huge lag. I had installed Parallels tools previously but re-installed without to see what his something changes......same thing.
Im using the bootcamp partition in parallels (parallels 15 gives you that option)...I checked all my settings, everything is in the recommended range, I even tried maxing out...no luck

Something is not right there. I only have version 14 which they tell me is "not optimized" but it still seems fine just mousing around the OS and using a few applications.

Check out this link I replied to you in another thread here - I have the same configuration as you and Parallels 15 runs great, I think you have some configuration settings that are not optimally set.

Fusion user here, but I have no problems either. Runs much better on the 16" than on my old 2016 15".

@donawaits advice is good, especially do not overcommit CPU resources.

I have also found that if a VM has been suspended for a while, Win10 can be very sluggish when the machine is resumed while Win10 "phones home" checks for updates and so forth. I tend to take a cup of coffee and wait until Win10 settles down before trying to do something. Check the "activity monitor" in your VM to see what may causing a slow down.

Try a fresh Windows install without using the Bootcamp partition, maybe that's causing issues. If it turns out that's the problem, submit a bug report pointing the devs in that direction.

Guys thanks all for your responses....
I have tried all these setting s but the problem is the same. Im suspecting a driver issue because my resolution will not go above 1900x1200 in Windows (parallels).
Out of curiosity, what are your resolutions inside Windows?

I am going to just reply here, no sense replying and continuing this in two threads!

Mine is 3584 x 2240 (see attached). I feel pretty strongly you have a setting wrong, or worst case need to contact Parallels Tech support or check on the forums. This is not a generic driver or hardware incompatibility issue, as we are running the same thing. I have a 16" MacBook Pro with the AMD Radeon Pro 5.

Do you have the Configure/Graphics setting as "Best for Retina display" and not some of the other choices that are lower res? Are you running full screen (I am)? Are you running version 15.1.2?

500M 8 GB.

ok I figured out the problem, likeGrumpyCoder suggested.
Somehow Parallels and MacBook Pro 16" don't play well if you try to activate the Bootcamp partition instead of a clean install.
I did a clean install of Windows instead of the Bootcamp partition and everything works fine.
That's a serious bug!
Has anyone else tried a Bootcamp partition instead of a new install?

Eons ago I used to run a bootcamp partition as a VM in Fusion -- maybe give that a whirl to see if it performs better for you
