The program that drives my company (VISUAL MFG) uses an SQL Database. The program doesn't even install the executables locally, it relies on a network drive connection. The ODBC for this program is a little awkward to set up, and its generally annoying. Our president is wanting a new laptop and really likes that Mac, and I'm sure I can get everything running real nice by installing windows via Boot Camp, but what is the chance this can be setup to run through parallels. Does it offer full ODBC and domain networking support? Does anyone here have any experience using this type of a program in over parallels? I'm a mac users at home, and a Windows Network admin at work, so I would love to be able to move apple into our environment.

You might want to ask in the Windows on Mac forum.

Parallels is just a virtual hardware environment that runs the OS you provide. As long as the OS is compatible with your app, and your app doesn't require specific hardware it should be fine.

AFAIK nether domain membership nor ODBC require any special hardware...
