Parallels or VMware? Which one?

Which is faster? Can Parallels emulate direct X9? just wanna play red alert 2 on that 🙂

i tried both and found that vm ware was faster with windows xp and i managed to run one of the lord of the rings games on it fine on my macbook =o

Umm the strategy one, the first one they made, i forgot the name of it now, but it seemed to work ok as i remeber

Why not just use BootCamp and run it direct and not through either one if you are gaming.
The performance will be better and there will be no issues.

I didnt try it on parallels only vm ware, sory didnt make that clear, but yeah others have suggested just using bootcamp
