When I upgraded to Leopard I decided to ditch Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro and go with Parallels. Anyway it all installed well and worked fine. Then it all started to go wrong.

Vista would only boot in safe mode and then Parallels starting giving me errors at initial Startup. Now when I finally get into Vista I loose the bottom quarter of the screen. The start menu is there if I 'click' on it but either Windows or Parallels is not displaying it fully. (Below is a screenshot)

Can I reinstall Parallels without loosing my Vista setup? I really don't want to go through the activation process again and install all my apps.

Also I have another slight issue. I have Parallels setup as a separate 'Space' and when I flick between Parallels and my main space I loose my dock. Even when I hover my mouse at the bottom of the screen the dock does not show.

I am guessing that this is all problem with Parallels.

IMHO, VMWare Fusion 1.1 is a better bet over parallels.

VM 1.1 is Leopard compatible. Do not install 1.0 on Leopard.

I had installed XP but not Vista.

Somehow, I do not find a need to open XP at all, unless it's for my boy's education software.
