I have a .sitx file that I've been told has a VM on it. How do I bring it out? Sorry, I've never used Parallels.

Do you have Parallels?
Even if it has a VM on it, you won't be able to use it without Parallels

Have you tried double clicking the file?
OS X has a built in expander

If not, you can try the Unarchiver

I would be careful about unleashing anything on my Mac that I didn't know what it is
