It seems like it is taking up an excessive amount of space...

I have two files for my Windows 8 set up. I have two files that are 44GB. One is a Windows 8.pvm and the other is Windows 8-0.hdd.0.{5fbaabe3-6958-40ff-92a7-860e329aab41}

Any idea what the second one is and how I can manage these?

Second one is a virtual hard drive file, but with a GUID appended. You taken any snapshots of the Windows 8 VM?

Not that I know of...

If I click Manage SnapShots it says "No Snapshots available"
