So Ever since my upgrade to snow leopard on my iMac my parental controls are cutting off my access to SSL sites like amazon and Chrome webapp store, forcing me to use my ibook G3 at the cost of lower performance 😡.
Is there a way for my father to flip a switch or something in the settings to allow SSL connections (Obviously I can't check myself because I need administrative abilities to unlock the panel)?

It looks like he'll need to enable websites for you on a case by case basis:

https note: For websites that use SSL encryption (the URL will usually begin with https), the Internet content filter is unable to examine the encrypted content of the page. For this reason, encrypted websites must be explicitly allowed using the Always Allow list. Encrypted websites that are not on the Always Allow list will be blocked by the automatic Internet content filter.

WHY OF COURSE! it all makes sense now. To do SSL connections I usually use my ibook or my mom's account, to which I know the password. (she doesn't use it anymore 😉 ) The reason I want to enable SSL sites on my account is because I have some programs that I frequently use in conjunction with each other and I don't want to repeatedly log in/log out.

Hopefully you'll be able to get it squared away fairly quickly since you already have specific websites in mind that you need access to.
