Hi,

Does anyone know the part numbers for 2018 and 2019 top-cases and if they're different? Having them would allow knowing whether the replacement part was from 2019 or 2018 as Apple Store Work Authorisation contains the part number used.

I'm specifically interested in MBP 13" space-gray as mine has undergone a replacement this week and I want to know if the part is a 2018 or 2019 one. However, I think other part numbers might still be worth posting for others.

Thank you in advance!

You should be able to tell from the difference in the keyboards. Higher effort, different sound

Unfortunately, I don't feel it. But it's strange if they put a 2018 keyboard. That's why I want to check part numbers.

I received my 2018 top case replacement this week, and compared it to my 2019 MacBook Pro and the replacement is identical. Put another way, the two keyboards feel exactly the same, and MUCH different than the 2018 keyboard. Do you have a 2018 that you can compare your replacement to?

I just checked the paperwork that came with my upgraded 2018 and unfortunately, all it indicates is that they replaced the top case and battery... there are no part numbers.
