Hello, this is mainly an aesthetics thing so it isn't too important, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I recently created a Windows partition, and while I am in OSX the partition shows up on my desktop as a drive called "Untitled". It cannot be renamed and it persists on the Desktop even when I uncheck "show hard disks on desktop" in the Finder settings (which I usually leave unchecked).

I was just wondering if there was a way I could rename it something like "Windows HD" to contrast with Macintosh HD and if I can hide it from the Desktop like I do with the Mac partition.

The drive is NTFS, so that's why you can't change it in OS X.

You can change it from Windows.

Right-click on it, choose Properties and then type whatever name you like.
