    Hey All,

I plan on purchasing an external hard drive when I get my MBP. I was wondering if I could partition it to FAT and HFS?

HFS for time machine wireless back ups (Do they overwrite eachother?)
And FAT for transferring files between computers.

Would this work, how do I achieve this?

It's just a matter of using Disk Utility's "Partition" tab. It's pretty straightforward.
