Hi All,
I got myself new 500 GB hdd for my Macbook and would like to make fresh MacOS install.
I was considering partitioning my disk into 2 partitions - about 100 GB for OS and other software, and the rest 400 for my data. The reason I would like to do so is that the way I see it, if after installing my OS, and moving my 80 GB+ photo library, and 100 GB of videos, any application installed afterwards would be placed far away in slower part of the disk. I would prefer apps to be on the beginning as much as possible, and then data on that "slower" part.
I read a bit on forums but there seem to be very opposite opinions in terms of this. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
