Heya

I finally got my iMac, its a wonderful experience, im feeling like a total retard though, after "converting" from PC. Im super user on PC, but feeling like my dad when sitting behind the mac os :-D Its a super OS so far though, still learning.

But, to the point:

Is it possible to partition the system disc where the OS is installed? Even if the OS is already installed? Or does it require a clean install?

If i make a clean install, is it then possible på partition the disc in the installer like it is in XP and Vista?

PS: How the heck do i cut and paste files in OSX? I can only copy files, and dont have a cut file, so i need to drag files around 😛 I WANNA CUT´n´PASTE!

Thanks

You can partition the disk prior to installing Mac OS X, if you want. I do not know if so-called "live" partitioning is possible (I've heard rumors that it is, at least in Leopard).

As for your second question - Mac OS X doesn't support cut and paste for files. I do not know why.
