Hello People
Wondering if and how. OK I still am running Snow Leopard but doing so just so I can still run FCP6, though some forums I read that it may still work.
Anyway, I was thinking about upgrading to Mavericks for uni work as I need to use some software that only works with that so
I understand I can partition my disk and run both OS without rebooting.

Q. If I partition my disk, how do I upgrade one part to mavericks?

I am trying to find simple instructions online but I keep getting totally different responses. Your assistance, is highly appreciated :)

Use Disk Utility to create the second partition. Make sure it's formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

After that, download the Mavericks installer from the Mac App Store and run it. When prompted, select the second partition as the location to be installed.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will try it now.
