Passbook/ApplePay doesnt work with Apple gift cards

I think it is interesting that when getting my Apple gift card today that it didnt work with passbook. Sometimes you have to take your own medicine.

Bummer. You can easily find discounted GCs. Would be great if we can use it.

Itunes gift cards don't work, Apple store gift cards DO work. I already have one in my passbook.
