Passbook not showing in lock screen

I've setup passbook in privacy and enabled location, I've added my favourite Starbucks locations within the Starbucks app and within passbook I enabled lock screen notifications. Yet each Starbucks location that is in my favourite doesn't show on the lock screen when using passbook.

Any idea why I can't get this working?

I've even removed the Starbucks passbook entry and re-created it with the same problem.

Finally got it working. I had to turn on location based alerts. After that the passbook notifications on the lock screen started working.
