I recently bought an iPhone through my work, but since I quit my job and the sim card is locked to a certain business subscription, I have to pass my sim card to my work, though I keep my iPhone.

What does the iPhone copy to the simcard? Do I have to wipe my iPhone before handing over the simcard? I hope not, but I wouldn't like if my private messages popped up for the new simcard user...

I cannot find a "format sim card" option anywhere though.

Make sure you turn off iMessage and FaceTime before removing the sim card, also go into your contacts and then back out of it into groups and look at contacts on the sim card, hopefully you have none if not copy them down or to the iPhone itself. That's about all I can think of.
