Passing Values from One View to Another

I'm new to iPhone development. I can't find any tutorial that shows how to pass values from view to another view. Basically, from the main view I want to collect values of systolic BP and diastolic BP, perform a 'compute', then display the result of the computation in another view with other related data. Appreciate your your detailed help. Thanks!

I know this is an old one, but I'm having the same issue. I know there are tutorials out there, but I'm getting the feeling that they are all just doing whatever they stumbled upon that worked for them. I don't know if it's the proper way. On top of that, their methods are for things far more complicated than what I need currently.

I just want to pass a string from one view to another. Nothing special beyond that.

Any help, or pointers to a simple tutorial would be great.
