Hi everyone,

my ex girlfriend set up my macbook pro 17", i didnt have a problem with this,
untill we went our different ways.

i want to take her side off the laptop, and change the computer name,

she wont tell me her password for her side....

at the moment it comes up as "donnas sex whore". at the time it was funny now its not.

can i just put in the 2 discs i had with the computer and restart it all??

it runs on a Mac OS X version 10.5.4. with 2.33 ghz intel core 2 duo,

any help would be brilliant. thanks

Craig

I guess it's easier to just erase the whole hard drive and reinstall the OS since you two have gone separate ways. Yes you can use the discs and do a reinstall.

i forgot to mention that i dont mind keeping her side, if i could change the name from donna to something else... does that make any difference ???

What do you mean by "her side"? Do you mean you had 2 user accounts? If so and your account has admin rights, you can just delete her old account. You will need your password but not hers. Of course, that will delete all the data in the home folder for that account, so make sure you want to do that.
Changing the computer name name is usually done in the sharing window. You should be able tto do that as an admin user.
:D
