I am so tired of forgetting all my passwords. I’m thinking about using one of those password programs, but I have some questions.
1) Are they safe?
2) I use PCs, Macs, I phone and a droid. Are there any that are compatible with all of these?
3) Do I have to enter the 50-100 ones I have now or can the programs pick them up from my cookies or something?
4) Which ones should I look at? I don’t mind pay some if it allows for a better system

Thank for your help.

You can use Keychain to track your passwords. You can also use 3rd party apps:

Best password manager?

I recommend a password system. Break your password down into 2 parts. One part that you have stored in memory (i.e, your mind), and one part you store through a digital sync medium (evernote)...

In evernote you should have something like this:

Place: macrumors.com
Username: ring
Password key: greenkitty

So your macrumors password would essentially be

greenkittyredfishie438 (you have the redfishie part memorized)

This way you will have a unique password for each website

To test the security of your total password I recommend using this page:

I would recommend 1Password. It is secure, automated, and you can have unique passwords for every site. It works cross platform: OSX, Windows, IOS etc. 1Password is the industry leading standard.
