    Is there a password manager associated with the safari browser?

    Keychain.app (Applications>Utilities) can manage passwords.

    1Password is an excellent 3rd party app with more functionality.

    1Password has Safari integration. KeePassX is an open-source password storing option. You should also be able to store login credentials in keychain from safari....

    Yes:
    • Choose Safari > Preferences and click AutoFill.
    • Select “User names and passwords.”
    • Go to the website and enter your user name and password.
    • When asked if you to want to save the information, click Yes.
