Password problem

I have a G5 that i have not used for a long while and now that i am useing it again i dont remember the password for it. Therefore with no password i cant update things. Any help on how to recover it would be apprecaited.

Take the OS X CDs that came with the machine, boot from them by holding down the "C" key through power-up and booting. One of the options from the menu at the top of the screen is Password Reset for the Administrator's account.
