Hi:
My e-mail on the Mac, connected to g-mail, used to work just fine. Yesterday I had to restart the gmail account from a different computer and reset the google password, since I couldn't remember it; the gmail was always active on the Mac. Suddenly the Mac couldn't access the gmail anymore.

I went to the keychain and updated the password accordingly, and nothing.
Then I tried to go back to the gmail account on another computer and revert to the old password that I had on the Mac keychain--and it's too short! Gmail requires an additional letter.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't seem to work. I have now the same password for the gmail (updated to the needed length) in the keychain (I changed them manually) and in changed it the mail account, too, as you suggested. Zippo

The mail account has two mailboxes since I can't remember when: they are both connected to the same gmail account and show the same messages, for some reason. Should I try and delete one and see what gives?

How do you do that?
