Password Problems

I have been having problems with my powerbook G4. I had to install new startup files in order for OS X to load. Once I did that, the computer will not accept my password at the login screen. Has anyone had this issue where the computer has reset the password or have any ideas of what I should do?

Whaddya mean when you say you had to install new startup files? If you boot from the OSX discs, there's a Password Utility that can help you reset your account password (among others). 🙂
