Was wondering if it is possible to password protect a folder on iCloud drive, any suggestion?
I don't believe so. I don't think that any cloud service offers password protected folders, thats what your account password is for.
You could use Disk Util to create and encrypted sparse bundle image and put the files in there you want to protect. But it won't be readable in iOS.
Not directly, but you could use a tool like Cryptomator to encrypt files on iCloud drive (also works with other cloud sync services such as Dropbox or Onedrive). The files can only be decrypted by entering a password.
Posting to echo this recommendation; Cryptomator is fab.
