Password Protect Folder under El Cap ?

    Can someone please tell me how to password protect [ not just lock ] a folder under this OS ? I can't seem to figure it out...

    1. Open Disk Utility
    2. File > New Blank Image
      • format > read/write
      • encryption > anything other than none
    3. Move folder/contents into new image and delete original folder (if you copied instead of moved)
    4. Eject Image
    5. Enjoy your security, this process is the same for older versions of OSX.

    Eject the mounted volume with finder, then delete the dmg.
