got a question here... alright... in windows xp, a user can set a screen saver so that after a length of time the screen saver goes on and the desktop won't come back on after the user logs in... and the user must put a password to do this.. how come os x does not have this? and another thing.. in winxp you can "switch users temporarily" and all your open programs will stay open.. is that the same as fast user switching? me and my expert knowledge and im feeling like a noob today..

1. Activating the "require password to wake this computer from sleep or screen saver" is under the Security panel in sys preferences. The time control is controlled by the energy saver on the "put the display to sleep when the computer is inactive for" slid bar.
2. Thats the same as fast switching.
