Password protecting a Microsoft Word document?

    Is there a way to password protect a word document I made within Microsoft Word? I was able to do it when I used a PC but not sure how to do it on a Mac.

    Basically every time you opened the file it would prompt you for a password.

    In Word, click Help > Word Help, then type "password" to search... it gives you step-by-step instructions.
