Does anyone know if you can password protect you mail.app mailbox or certain messages.

I have a single account that many people use, mainly coz i'm the primary user, but others sometimes jump on for general browsing. But i have found that sometimes, people snoop around, and well, i would like to hide, password protect or just make invisible sensitive emails.

This isn't an elegant solution, but it seems to work. First, I quit Mail. Then, I went into my home directory, then the Library folder, and selected the Mail folder. Get Info, and under Ownership & Permissions, I changed "You Can" to "No Access".
This has the effect of showing no mail when you open Mail, although it could possibly still receive new messages, if there are any.

If you wrote an Applescript to change the permissions of this to No Acccess or Read & Write, you would effectively hide and show all your mail. It would be security through obscurity.

I make no guarantees that this won't mess something up.
