password protection program

Hi,

I have some login names and passwords for varoius places that I want to keep it in a secure place on my computer, so that even if other people accidentally stumble upon it, only I would be able to open it.

Does anybody know any good program or a good method to do that?

Save it as a "Read Me" file and place it in an Applications folder.
