Hey, I got my iPod Shuffle and I love it. I noticed, though, that some other USB HD's have password protection... are there any programs for download to add this option to my Shuffle?

Thanks.

I don't think there is because those drives have software flashed in their BIOS that communicates with the software on the computer. This is the case with the usb drive that I own.

Duff-Man says...it doesn't say anithing about the mini or shuffle, but for regular iPod users MicroMat makes a neat little utility called PodLock ...oh yeah!

...or you can make an encrypted disk image with Disk Utility, and then put it on the Shuffle and put all the documents inside it.

this is what i do...make a small (or large) disk image and put your important files/docs here. works very well.
