Hey guys I forgot the administration password is there anyway I can reset it or find it? Apparently I didn’t give a hint or anyway to block YouTube on google chrome and safari?

I've been able to successfully do this before by booting into recovery mode and then entering "resetpassword" in terminal. I'm not sure which versions of macOS the command is available on though.

This is the message I get?

Is it easier to install snow leopard and make me admin and add my daughter as a user account?

Sorry it’s sideways

If you don't mind wiping the Mac and installing snow leopard again then that would work. The reason your drive isn't showing up there is because it's probably locked with FileVault. In recovery you should be able to open disk utility, select the internal drive from the sidebar, and then select unlock.

Do this, make a new account, reset your password from it

I wound up reinstalling snow Leopard and setting up new accounts. Now she can’t change anything unless she’s in admin account. Thanks!! One more? What’s the latest OS X a MacBook Pro 8,1 is compatible with?

Found that the hard way. 4 hours on the phone with Apple and came to the conclusion that I need a Lion download not a snow leopard. $19.99
