What should I do to set restrictions on my macbook?

I find it annoying when my niece use my laptop to go on myspace.... especially when I am not home. Her excuse would be.... because i am not home so she cannot ask for my permission.

How do I set a password on it? So if she turns it on, she has to logon and urm no she is not going to get the password. 😀

System Preferences, Accounts, highlight your account, and then it'll probably say something about setting a password.

I don't know what it says because mine only says "Change Password" as I already have one.

You'll then want to go to back to the main window, to Security, and tick "Require password to wake from sleep".

Also, you'll want to disable automatic login.

System Preferences > Accounts > Login Options.

and one more thing, you might want to require password to wake computer.
system prefs.>security
it can get annoying but it gives me a piece of mind when i leave my computer lying around.
