pause apple music, file loses position

This is kind of a weird situation, but while playing an audio file in Music and hitting pause, when you then hit play it starts from a different spot in the file. This is an issue as I am translating the file and have to constantly stop, write, then hit play again and the file position is not where I left off.

Does anyone else have this happening to them? I am on the latest OS Sonoma and Music app.
