pay and go iphone 3g

No details have been released yet about PAYG. But if it is like other plans then no you do not.

Edit: Where did you get that £10 a month from?
 
how does data work on pay and go? Surely it's going to get v expensive v quickly downloading web pages and videos on 3G
 
Free for 6 months, £10/mo data plan after (optional, but you'd be silly not to) giving unlimited data & wifi.
 
so i can buy an 8GB 3G iPhone for £299 (or whatever it will be) and then pay £10 a month for data only...

sounds very tempting as i have a good phone call deal i'm happy with...
 
Which is an extremely reasonable option IMO. 🙂

sorry for hijacking - i'll start another thread if you like but...

can i buy a first gen iPhone off ebay (say a 4GB as i wouldn't use it as an ipod much) and then take up this £10 p/m data only plan?

4GB iPhones are going quite cheap on ebay.
