paying cash or creditcard in apple store UK

do they take cash if you have reserved 24 june pickup in the UK or does it have to be creditcard?

i ask this because in the US i could only pay with creditcard last month when i bought the iPad. they didn't took cash 😕

Not sure of the answer, I personally would like to know too as I would actually like to split the cost 50/50 between cash and a debit card.

When I preordered the iPad, I was able to pay in cash. I don't see why I should be different this year.

when i bought the iphone 3g they wouldn't accept cash, but i got round it by buying a giftcard for the same amount and paying for that, which you can do apparently
