PayPal Donation link in sig

In a couple PMs, it was suggested that I have a paypal donation link in my sig, to help fund my trip to Vienna, Salzburg, and Prague with my symphony.

I've thought about it, and woo, I'm gonna make one and stick it in.. unless it's against the MR rules. I've read it, and I can't find anything saying that it is against the rules...

Just to make sure I'm not breaking any rules, I thought I'd ask first. Getting banned from MR would NOT be fun.

Not sure if its against the rules, but you should be able to put a link in your signature. Its not like you would be forcing anyone to donate- and besides, it goes to a worthy cause.

We allow people to advertise subtly in their signatures.

And it is not like it's 100% cyberbegging, like the buy me a new Mac links, or sending you out of the country on a one-way trip.

Arn and the mods will probably allow you a single thread, with a link in your signature.

Quite sure it won't get closed as quick as mymemory's "6 ft. tall stud needs green card and wife" type threads of the past.

Not too many of us would get the chance to travel with a symphony to those places.

Ask one of the other gods, mudbug...

Generally speaking, you're able to put links to just about anything you feel like in your signature. I'd shy away from questionable content places, and I'll kick you out personally if I see a referral link to some free hardware scam site, but otherwise it's yours for the using.

Just don't make the type huge, annoying and flashing, and no small farm animals will be hurt.
