PayPal MasterCard "unavailable" on iPhone???

I set up my PayPal Mastercard in Apple Pay on both my iPad and my iPhone with no problems back in August. When I got my new iPhone X a few weeks ago, I couldn't add it, getting a message that the bank did not support Apple Pay. This is clearly not true, since I had it, and still have it on my iPad. So why can't I add it to my X?

I’m not doubting that you somehow managed to add it in the past, especially if it still shows as an option in your iPad, but ApplePay has never supported the PayPal Business Debit card. There was a period of time that they claimed it was coming but it never happened. Being someone who has ran almost $50k through his PayPal account in the last year, I can assure you I have complained to both PayPal and Apple about getting their ducks in a row but it hasn’t happened yet.
