PB 12.1" Max Ram?

What is the maximum amount of RAM for the 12.1" powerbooks (excluding the 256 MB RAM that cant be removed)

Does it need to be 256, 512, or 1024 only? Could it be 2048 (2 GB) of RAM or would that not work?

Powerbooks hold up to 2 gigs of ram. The most you could have is 1 gig per stick.
