I'm due for a cellphone upgrade this month.

I usually choose Nokia, but really like the Motorola Razr.
(it compliments the pbook nicely)

What is the compatability like?
Are there any other phones I should be looking at?

I should mention that I'm running 10.3.9

I've looked at a couple of other threads about the razr, but there doesn't seem to be a consensus of whether or not its a good choice phone to partner with a pbook.
(seems to be a lot of syncing issues with pics, music, etc)
also, the multiple entries for a signle perosn in the phone book sounds ridiculous.

i have one of these.

It syncs perfectly with my ibook and imac, with lead - no problems.

Not tried music/pic

but..... I have found that the battery life is piss poor, speech sound so-so. and for some reason the screen is tricky to read. I had a sony clamshell thingy until recently and the battery life, screen readability and sound quality were much better and it synced wirelessly much easier.

Really thin phone though.

I got one yesterday

I just got my Moto V3 yesterday and I must say,,, it is one stylish thing...

Just cannot get my phone-book organized the way I want after iSync with my Mac...
the phone numbers are always listed after the first name...just cannnot get it to list my contacts following the family name... any help here ? Can you guys tell me why I am such a tech-idiot... or is the just a software-bug ?

Curious... Herman the German

I'm sure both of the above posters love their RAZR, and I'm not trying to shut you down, but I've also heard bad reviews.

I've heard from various sources that the phone looks lika a beauty, but has outdates, crappy software/compatibility.

I own a Sony Ericsson K700i and it works really well with my Mac over Bluetooth. However, it can be slow to respond when browsing the menus, and the speaker volume is unfortunately low. Every phone has its ups and downs i guess.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, I've read about BT syncing problems, as well as the phonebook organisation sucks.

any more info would be great, before I do my upgrade.
Would hate to be stuck with a sucky phone for 2 years.

I'm not mad about the sony-ericsson phones, so its a toss up between Moto Razr and some or other Nokia
