there have been pc efi motherboards out there for a while, most of them however don't advertise it, they just emulate bios.

now if only we had that configurability on the mac efi!
looks like i will be building a hackintosh soon enough.

the difference is that were running EFI or pre 1.1 efi, that being said, apple have developed their own versions

the pc versions are running UEFI or efi 2.0 and above, the latest builds are 2.3. I wonder what new they bring, specs can be downloaded here

I do wonder why they blurred out what model CPU the machine was running.

they did because their running an unreleased chip. they specifically said it was a sandy bridge.
