Just got back from the beach where my husband's Dell found a wireless network to connect to, but my Powerbook G4 (with Airport extreme) found nothing. Back home now and it's finding my network with no problem.

For future reference, what should I do when this happens?

Leave your laptop at home and enjoy the beach?

Seriously, though, the PowerBooks aren't known for fantastic wireless service, especially the Ti models (although I'm assuming you're using an Al version with Extreme, but correct me if I'm wrong).

Was your husband's signal strong, or was it fairly weak? If he had a strong signal, and you weren't seeing anything, perhaps you could try entering the SSID into your PowerBook and see if it connects then.
