PC in a Mac Mini. Video.

Whoever thinks this is stupid obviously has never seen what Kevin Rose does. He is a modder and a "dark tipper" (he has all these hacks for OSes and its cool lol)

All he did was safely remove the Mac mini's insides of probibly the cheapest 499 mini and put the cheapest smallest PC he could inside so that people could appreciate just how small the mac mini is considering its high quality. He probibly has like three PM Dual 2.5 GHz machines in his home along with like a hundred windows and linux machines. RELAX. he is just having fun.

I was looking at the feedback comments that followed the article, and all I can say is wow: Macrumors does not have a problem with spam compared the posts there. There was one in five that didn't provide a link on to some pyramid scheme to get something free.

A big thanks to our mods here for keeping MR as clean as it is.

. . . and about the 'PC' mini. I thought the premise was great . . . proved clearly how sophisticated a computer the Mini really is. Granted the PC was a home-built project, but it was done rather tightly (and without a Optical Drive and with SODIMS) and using parts that are not even mainstream market.

I was wondering, maybe I could get a base model Porshe 911, and put in a rebuilt chevy 4 banger, that would be neat!

Tech Tv/G4 blows now. Remember the Screen Savers with Leo and Patrick?

I remember The Screensavers with Kate and Leo I could not stand Patrick with all his Mac bashing. Now they just have a bunch of freaks hosting the shows.

yeah, whatever happened to leo and patrick? i don't watch techtv all that often (can't stand most of their hosts/personalities), but i did like leo and patrick, esp. since leo was a mac guy.

The cancer that is G4 took over TechTV. They got rid of most of the original staff, relocated, took a really great show and dumbed it down, and turned it into sugar coated crap. TSS used to be a one of my favorite shows, now I can't even watch it. Can anyone tell me why a show called The Screen Savers continues to do E! style interviews with movie stars, I just don't get it?

I agree, Leo was great and I really like Patrick as well in spite of his mac bashing. Now they just go from uber nerd to uber nerd trying to find a suitable host for the show, and I cant stand watching these people.
