Got my 1st MBP a few weeks ago and loving it. However one simple question I have is as follows:

My mate is in a band and I want to put some of his stuff onto iTunes on my mac. Would it work if I gave him a memory stick and he put his recordings from his windows pc onto it and I put it on my mac or is there any problems transferring music from a pc to a mac in this way?

As long as the USB stick is FAT formatted you're fine.

You start seeing problems when the Windows NTFS is used or Mac Journaled.

The time of continuous reformatting of discs is pretty much over, any flash drive will work in both straight out of the box, you'll be fine.

He's coming to visit me and suggested he could bring a flash drive with his music on it. Just thought that was easier than him bringing cd's
