All,

Question regarding moving files from PC to MAC…

I am currently using a PC (IBM ThinkPad). I’ve ordered a MacBook Pro. The ThinkPad will go away.

I need to move my files over and would like to inquire about the best (simplest) method for accomplishing this task.

I have an external hard drive that I have purchased for the Mac (already formatted for HFS+). I don’t really fancy reformatting for NTFS, etc…

As FYI, I plan to run either VMware or Parallels and run XP/Microsoft on the external hard drive via firewire 800. I use this for work and want to keep everything separated.

Hopefully, I can simply connect the two machines (via crossover??) and move the files over.

Please advise and thanks very much,

Kenny

you're pc won't be able to read the mac format and will need macdrive for your pc. otherwise, network the computers and move your files across that way.
