PC5400 will work in new MBPs?

    from my hunting, this is the cheapest i've found. gonna buy me two sticks today.

    FutureShop, TigerD, NCIX, etc.

    just wanted to confirm this will work. my only concern is that it's listed as PC5400, whereas the tech specs on the new MBP (same as old i think) list they use PC5300.

    I'm pretty sure they'll work, just would appreciate if any kind sir/madam would confirm :)

    Yes PC5400 and PC5300 both work. They are both 200 pin SODIMM.

    The reason for the differences has to do with wording. Sometimes they round up and sometimes they round down to PC5300.

    If you wanted almost 100% Mac compatilbitity, just go over to Macsales.com (OWC). I brought RAM from OWC for my iMac but brought from newegg for my macbook.

    .....and in case anyone is wondering, all toronto TD's are sold out of that RAM.

    a bastard bought ever module from the etobicoke store.....then called the britannia store and put a hold on all ****ing 20 modules too. insane.

    i complained but got nowhere.

    ncix is second choice ;)
